The Ford government has been promising that they can build subways in Toronto faster and cheaper than the city can — and they will unveil the details on Wednesday.

It’s a big promise by the province, claiming it will deliver the downtown relief line two years earlier and $2.1 billion cheaper than the city’s plan.

Premier Doug Ford will reveal the details on his plan to upload the construction of new subways from the city at a morning news conference in Etobicoke.

Under the provincial plan, the downtown relief line will be called the “Ontario Line.”
